Following many years of working on other projects, Dave and Kev formed Gnostic Grain to explore the world of dark ambient electronic music.

Recorded during the summer of 2020 at Earthlab Studio, Manchester and Screaming Moon, Hayle, they created 4 tracks of instrumental experimentation which were improvised and meant to be an immersive experience for the listener.

The title "0000" came following a chance incident when this number was seen on a mobile phone immediately after a very intense recording session.

The number, known to be an angel number, seemed appropriate and meant not to be ignored astrologically. For Gnostic Grain, it symbolised a new beginning in a time of great change in the world and the tracks were inspired by the atmosphere of the times and the energy of knowing what could be beyond the obvious of the five sense experience of the world.

The music was intended to link back to the spirit of humanities lost thinking and relationship with the elements and the universe.
